Puppy Enrichment Program
Why it Matters
Raising well-rounded puppies starts long before they ever go home. Our early life enrichment program is designed to gently and intentionally introduce each puppy to the world in a way that builds confidence, resilience and trust.

ENS/ESI & Sound Stimulation
We begin with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) & Early Scent Introduction (ESI) between 3-16 days old. These exercises help stimulate the brain development, strengthen stress tolerance, & encourage problem solving skills from the very beginning. As puppies grow and their ears begin to open, we slowly introduce them to a variety of sounds in a safe and controlled enviorment. This helps to prepare them for the real world and helps prevent fearfulness.

Handling/Grooming
Handling our puppies is a big part of our program. Puppies are handled daily by myself and our young children. Our puppies are groomed starting at 3 weeks of age. We bath them, cut their nails, blow dry them, shave their face, feet and sanitary areas. This becomes a weekly exercise for our puppies. The groomers truly enjoy having our puppies on their grooming table.

Litter Box Training/ Disinfecting
Around 3 weeks of age we will place a litter tray in the whelping area. By introducing puppies to a designated potty area, we build clean habits early on. This makes house training easier and more intuitive once they join their families. Keeping our puppies environment clean is something we take every seriously. Their space is cleaned multiple times through out the day to ensure that they are always in a safe, sanitary and comfortable area.

Vet Visit & Vaccines
Puppies tails are docked to AKC standards at around 2 days of age by a licensed professional. Our puppies are wormed starting at 2 weeks of age, and are wormed every two weeks after that. Puppies will also be given their first Vaccines between 6-8 weeks of age. Our vaccines are ordered and delivered by Revival Animal Health in a controlled temperature container. All of our puppies are microchipped as well. At around 6 weeks of age ,our puppies are seen by a licensed veterinarian. We take all our dogs to Batesville Animal Vet Clinic in Batesville Indiana.

Puppy Mush/ Solid Food
Around 3.5 weeks of age our puppies start puppy mush. Puppy mush is soaked blended kibble with probiotics in it to help transition puppy to kibble and line their tummies with healthy gut bacteria. Puppies are still getting their mothers milk which is still their main source of nutrient. At 5 weeks of age puppies are eating soft kibble to prepare them for hard kibble at 6 weeks of age.

Obedience Training
We strive to send home your puppy with the basic knowledge of waiting patiently for their food in a sit position. We also focus on sit, and lay down. Crate training is also part of our training program in which we starts as early as 4 weeks of age. We do not crate our puppies over night, but we do work with them on puppy nap time. We designate a time each day for crate training and naps. This is to help condition your puppy on crate time. We also do work with them on a leash so that they have the basics down with walking.
