Our Story

    I started Sugar & Spice Homestead in 2020 with a dream to raise high quality Standard Poodles. We are located on a quiet homestead in Sunman Indiana. From the very beginning my puppies are raised right along side me and my family, experiencing everyday life. What began as a passion quickly turned into something so much more.

    All of our puppies are socialized with ENS ( Early Neurological Stimulation) & ESI (Early Scent Introduction) from day 3-16. We also expose our puppies to sound stimulation and a variety of textures. Our puppies also undergo the "Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test". This test is given to each puppy at 7 weeks of age. Our puppies also recieve a series of worming's/ vet care and vaccines before going home.

    I originally began breeding Dalmatians with my foundation female, Juliet, before i found my true passion in Standard Poodles. Today, we specialize in producing well tempered, healthy poodles while keeping the program intentionally small so each dog receives individual care and attention.

​

    As a wife and mother of three, I integrate my puppies into daily family life, helping them grow into confident and well socialized companions. I make health and temperament a top priority,  ensuring all breeding dog receives the appropriate health testing while also focusing on strong structure and sound minds. For me, it has always been about prioritizing quality over quantity, focusing on raising each puppy with purpose and placing them in loving, lifelong homes.

    At Sugar & Spice Homestead, raising puppies is not just a program, it is part of the rhythm of our family. Once our mommas are ready for retirement, they are spayed and retire amongst our family.
